Why WordPress?
We don’t use WordPress for every site but it is our platform of choice for most projects because of its superior content management features, extensibility, stability and ease of use. Or in plain English: by using WordPress we can give you more web site, faster, and for a lower cost than using any other method.
First released in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance web typography, WordPress has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging and website platform in the world, used on millions of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.
WordPress is also an open-source project, which means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it – many more than most commercial platforms – and improving it every day. It also means you are free to use it for anything from your cat’s home page to a Fortune 500 web site without paying anyone a license fee.
Although WordPress started as a blogging system, it has grown to become a sophisticated Content Management System with thousands of plugins, widgets, and themes that extend its functionality.
